We're back from Maine. We had a great time. Geoffrey learned to swim! He jumped some waves. He rode on a train. He went to an aquarium. We ate over a dozen lobsters. Geoffrey woke up at 5:30 A.M. every morning...and only took a nap for as long as we were in the car to get to the beach each day. Gordon and I were able to squeeze in a dinner to celebrate our anniversary which is coming up on Tuesday. We were very thankful to have my dad join us for the whole week. Gordon's mom and dad were supposed to come too, but as we were packing last Saturday to head up there, they called to say that Grandpa Jay had died. They ended up having his memorial service on Thursday. Hopefully we will be able to go to the burial in the fall when Aunt Elaine comes from Alaska.
Some of these pictures are from a while back when my friend was here from Italy. Her son is about 6 months older then Geoffrey so they had fun running around the park. Her son, Mickey, speaks Italian, but understands English. Needless to say, Geoffrey didn't talk to him much. It was fun to see them together though. Cory and I haven't seen each other since we were like 10 so it was fun to hear about her adventures and catch up.
We buzzed Geoffrey's head again this summer! It made it easier to get the sand out after we went to the beach. Geoffrey's talking up a storm now. He's so funny...he's still a screamer, very strong, and quite large...but fun to play with overall. This slideshow isn't great, but it's some of the highlights. You can't rotate pics once they're in the show, so some of them are sideways. But, you'll get the idea. I'm going to publish this post, then make another one that has video clips of G swimming and running into the ocean. ><>
