Party #1

Today was Geoffrey's 1st Birthday Party.
Gordon and Ron had to work this morning so Carrie packed everything up and headed down to the farm. Gordon dropped Geoffrey off to me before he left for work. I baked 3 cakes, made homemade applesauce (sugar free), cheese veggie chowder, baked spinach dip, and boiled carrot cubes with turnip & butternut squash cubes. Aunt Gabby made punch. Gram made her famous mac & cheese. Aunt Ruthie made meatballs. The food was great. But the best part was seeing Geoffrey play with his friends Owen & Malcolm. Jay & Mimi came and so did Marc & Meredith. These pictures are so fun. We had all 3 boys and moms in the cage. Meredith is 3 weeks from having her second child so she's sitting in the chair. They had fun playing kick the balloon. Gordon blew up about 20 balloons before everyone came. They were everywhere. Plus, Ruth & family gave G a new toy bucket so we had fun watching the kids climb in and out. For Geoffrey's first cake I made a homemade honey cake. It had ginger and cinnamon in it. It had homemade Honey Peanut butter frosting. He really liked it. He liked licking the frosting off the candle...until his teeth starting digging into the wax. The whole afternoon was really fun. It was nice to have friends and family together. We're looking forward to another party next weekend in Greenfield. Oh! I forgot....I found Curious George party plates, cups, & napkins in the grocery store. Everything had bananas on it. It was fantastic! He loved the bananas on the tablecloth. Enjoy these pictures.

Moms and Sons in the cage; Future student learning from "Mr. Whitman"; Owen burying Geoffrey with balloons

Geoffrey & Malcolm in the bucket.....they hugged....IT WAS SOOOO CUTE!

He was so funny when everyone was singing to him.

There will be more pics from the party when Auntie G gets hers to me. Stay tuned....your first birthday lasts for a few weeks. Awesome!
